Plans start as an idea and mature through know-how.
Development happens when those ideas and plans are actualised hands-on: with the right method, proper materials and necessary passion.
We offer the development of products, from construction plans to prototypes, all the way to serial production. In close cooperation with our customers.
We think a product through from start to finish. From conception at the drawing board to prototype to market entry. Before that though we always put the product to the test: the field-test. Because we leave nothing up to chance.
We find the the right components and producers in Europe and Asia and manage the supply chain, from purchase to quality control. “Because we make the best out of your demands.”
We develop with our expertise, our heart and our love for details. In this we are supported by market leading technologies. We use Solid Works, CNC machines, 3D printers and various measuring devices. We develop exclusively in 3D. This helps us to identify problems early and avoid them. That way we save time and can produce more cost-effectively to your benefit.
The manufacturing of functional models is another proof of our quality innovations.
Digital media resources including specific project management and communications tools enable us to work simultaneously, even over long distances.
Since 2013, Stefan Bauer has beenour exclusive development partner for the sector ‘vehicles of the future’ which includes e-Bikes, MTB and Urban Lifestyle.
The passionate surfer and Enduro rider likes to spend his free time in the mountains. These terrains are at once his source of inspiration and benchmark for new challenges: “Only with a clear head you can create something new…”
Martin Kuhlmeier developed his first bike at the age of 10 and ever since he has had a sense for innovation and invention. With his i:Sy bikes he created a bicycle that’ssimply different. And with that he gave many people the joy of riding.
When asked, how ideas are born, Martin Kuhlmeier says: “For new ideas, a developer needs his iPad and a good espresso. His eye for the small details will help with the rest…”
Michael Conrad graduated from the HFG Ulm and is co-owner of Delta Design Stuttgart. Within product design, mobility has always particularly appealed to him. Michael Conrad designs not only bicycles, but also cars, busses, trains, children’s vehicles and much more.
The frequent rider has been promoting everyday bike use by developing new concepts and convincing designs of bicycles and pedelecs since 1987.
Mobility is a topic of the future. In the coming years a number of mobility concepts will arise. The rediscovery of the bicycle – especially with electric drive – will play a decisive role. “We at WM trading will be at the forefront,” the team is certain, “with our passion for bikes and our services – for manufacturers, wholesalers, specialist retailers and bike-enthusiasts”.
Development at WM trading entails frame building, e-bikes, foldable bikes and everything that needs a customised solution. No matter whether it is about the improvement of highly stressed components, for example through material reinforcement, or about special vehicles such as the “Hase”recumbent bikes or even premium developments for professional athletic use: WM trading develops solutions for its clients that are tailor-made and practical.
We are specialists for CE labelling and ISO certification. Our products are certified according to the norms of all our clients’ target countries, be it the European or the US-American market, Russia or South Africa, and we provide all appropriate handbooks and manuals accordingly.
Classical elegance: Victoria E-Manufaktur
The idea: a classic step-through with shapely tubes and intelligently concealed battery.
The development of thispedelec responded to the product requirements of our client. WM trading took on the complete development from scratch for frame, rack and all attached parts as well as the design of all tools, such as for thesynthetic, injection moulded side sections and a forging for the central interface.
The result: the“E-Manufaktur” by Victoria. From the distinctive gooseneck to the elliptical chainstays to the semi-integration of the second generation Bosch battery, the “E-Manufaktur” has not only convinced the jury of the Red Dot Design Award but has also come to be regarded as a stylistic game changer.
Now, we produce the frame and special components on behalf of Hermann Hartje KG.
Exemplary: Bafang Prototypes
First admired at the Eurobike 2015: a complete bike fleet for all available e-motors of the global company Suzhou Bafang Electric Motor Science-Technology Co., Ltd.
We developed and built a total of 15 prototypes – including a city bike, trekking bike, fatbike and compact bike. We implemented the project in only 5 months and took over the entire service and maintenance at the trade fair. With WM trading you can present your components in the limelight they deserve!
The Ubertopic: “in-tube” battery
Be honest: most people want to enjoy the advantages of an e-bike, but nobody wants the electric assistance to be spotted immediately… That’s why we are devoted to making e-bikes optically appealing and more efficient, for example by producing various bicycles with the new Bosch battery “powertube” or the Trans X system by Milos Bike.
For this we develop amongst other things a battery case that sits fully or semi-recessed inside the seat tube. Unlike conventional battery mounting systems, this requires the creation of completely new peripheral equipment, including mounting bracket, seal, cover, lock and internal connection ports.
Be ready for pilot production!
